# Operation
# Select a map
- Select the map you want to view from the list of maps on the left of the screen.
Supplement
- Some maps have a setting to further switch the view. Click for more information.
- If you do not see the map list, click in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Click to hide the map list.
- To deselect a map, Click the deselect below.
# Move the map
- Click on the map to move (drag) the map, or swipe the map.
- Press the cursor keys(← → ↑ ↓)on your keyboard.
# Zoom in/out the map
- Scroll the mouse wheel on the map.
- Click the + / - buttons on the map.
- Press the + / - keys on your keyboard.
- If touch operation is available, touch the map with two fingers and widen or narrow the distance between your fingers (pinching).
# Rotate the map
- Click on the map while holding down the CTRL key to move (drag) the map.
- If touch operation is available, touch the map with two fingers and rotate one finger around the other finger.
Supplement
- When the map is rotated, is shown on the map.
- Click to reset the rotation.
# Find a place by place name
- Click at the top of the screen.
- Enter a place name in the search box and select the place you wish to display from among the suggestions.
Supplement
- Click to clear the search box.
- Click to hide the search box.
# Refer to location information
- Right-click on the map to display a tool menu, and select Select Location from the menu.
- Click a location on the map which you wish to refer to information about.
- Refer to the information panel that appears.
# Display and track your current location
- Click the button on the map.
- Select Select to display information on your current location.
- Select Track to renew your current location periodically. If you have an orientation sensor, the map rotates so that the direction the device is facing is at the top of the screen.
Please be careful
- Depending on your browser, you may be asked to confirm when obtaining location information.
- This feature is available only on GPS-enabled devices.
# Distance measurement
- Click the button on the map, or right-click on the map to display the tool menu and select
to measure the distance
from the menu. - Click the Linear Distance button or the Road Distance button on the measurement panel.
- Click a point on the map from which you wish to measure distance.
- Click midpoints and the end point of the distance you wish to measure on the map.
- Refer to the distance and travel time displayed on the measurement panel.
Supplement
- You can move the start and end points.
- When you move the mouse over the line, the mouse cursor switches to . You can then click to add a midpoint.
- The start point, midpoints and end point can be erased by clicking. In addition, all the points can be reset by clicking on Erase.
- Click the button to exit the measurement mode.
- The travel time is calculated from the Walking Speed that is set.
# View section views (elevation views)
- Click the button on the map, or right-click on the map to display the tool menu and select
to measure the distance
from the menu. - Click the Linear Distance button or the Road Distance button on the measurement panel.
- Click a point on the map from which the topographic section view starts.
- Click midpoints and an end point of the topographic section view on the map.
- Click the topography button on the right side of the measurement panel.
- Refer to the topographic section view displayed on the measurement panel.
Supplement
- You can move the start and end points.
- When you move the mouse over the line, the mouse cursor switches to . You can then click to add a midpoint.
- When you move the mouse cursor over the section view, a mark appears where the cursor is moved on the map.
- Click the button to exit the measurement mode.
Please be careful
- This feature cannot be used with Internet Explorer.
# Map view settings
Click the button on the map to display the menu for changing the map view.
# Show/hide
Show or hide elements on the map.
# Information display when selected
Switch the display of detailed information when an item is selected on the map.
# Disaster map
- Bring to front
- A disaster map such as flooded areas is shown at the front.
- Transparency
- The transparency of disaster maps such as flooded areas is changed.
# Print the map
- Select
Print...
from the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. - Select the size of the paper you wish to print on.
- Click the Print button to display the print dialog of your browser.
Supplement
- Make sure that the print sheet is set to landscape orientation of the specified size.
- You can adjust the print area by manipulating the map on the main screen.

*This function cannot be used with browsers other than Recommended Environment.
# Output the map as a PDF
- Select
Output PDF...
from the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. - Set the title, size, orientation, and margins of the PDF to be output.
- Click the output button to download the displayed map in PDF format.

- This function is not available on all browsers.
- It may take some time to output the map depending on the usage environment. :::
# Output a map image
- Select
Output an image...
from the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. - Select the image and click the output button to download the map in PNG format.
# Get a shared link
- Select
Shared link
from the menu in the upper right corner of the screen. - The URL of the shared link is displayed.
::: Tip Supplement
- Click Copy to copy the URL of the shared link to the clipboard.
- Click QR Code to display a QR code that indicates the URL of the shared link. :::
